High Paw – Burn Your Tag (seven inch vinyl)

Cool Up Records presents Burn Your Tag, their latest 7-inch vinyl release, this time with Galician artist High Paw. Included in her acclaimed LP “Solid as the Clock” (2020), this song certainly deserved to be released as a single, showcasing the great talent of this singer and her ability to flow over the productions of the Andalusian label.

Burn Your Tag is a personality-filled song that conveys a necessary message, emphasizing the need to set aside the social labeling of different types of people. High Paw stands out with her unique blend of Rub a Dub styles and melodies that draw from a more contemporary Roots sound. The single’s sound clearly carries influences from the 80s, incorporating a mix of acoustic and digital instruments that give a unique result.

As usual, this release includes a riddim version on the B-side, showcasing Cool Up’s carefully crafted production that is sure to be appreciated by selectors and singers alike.

The design of the vinyl cracker is once again the result of Mr. John Vanilla’s unrivalled talent. Maintaining the aesthetic line of previous singles and showing once again his good work.
